What you are agreeing to

These rules apply when you use Dear Arthur, make or buy a song, or open a listening page. By using the service, you agree to follow them.

If you make a song for someone else, only use details you have a legal and respectful reason to use.

What Dear Arthur does

Dear Arthur helps you make a personalised song and share it through a private web page. We may use AI and trusted services for music, hosting, messages and payments.

Some features will arrive over time. If something is labelled as a demo, preview or “coming soon”, it is not working yet.

The details you add

You keep any rights you already have in the words, memories and other details you add. You allow us to use those details only to make and run the service, keep it safe, improve it, follow the law and help with support problems.

Do not add anything you are not allowed to use.

Songs made with AI

AI can make mistakes or create something unexpected. Always listen to the whole song before sharing it. We cannot promise that every musical detail will be completely unique, or that every country will give you copyright over it.

Do not ask the song to copy a real person or make it sound like they support something.

Prices and payment

We show the price, currency and cost of any extra version before you pay. Your order is paid only when the payment service confirms it. Tax may be included or added where the law requires it. If a price is clearly wrong, we may fix it before making the order.

Cancelling an order

We may start making your personalised song as soon as you order it. Once that work begins, you may not be able to cancel simply because you changed your mind.

This does not take away any consumer rights the law gives you. Read our Refund & Cancellation Policy for more detail.

Using Dear Arthur fairly

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may block a request, remove a link or stop access when needed to protect people, prevent fraud, follow the law or keep the service safe.

If the service changes or stops

We work to keep Dear Arthur running, but cannot promise it will always be available. We may change a feature, pause for maintenance or stop something because of a supplier or legal requirement.

Save your own downloaded copy before the date shown on the private page and in reminder emails.

If something goes wrong

As far as the law allows, Dear Arthur is not responsible for losses that are not a direct result of using the service. If the law says we are responsible for something, these terms do not remove that responsibility. Your consumer rights still apply.

Changes and questions

We may update these terms as Dear Arthur grows. If we make an important change, we will update the date on this page. The new terms apply when you keep using the service after that date.
