Optional measurement and marketing
Dear Arthur uses small first-party counters to understand whether important steps such as song creation and playback are working. We also use Google Analytics to understand information such as which pages are visited, broad location, device and browser type, and how people move through the site. We do not intentionally send Google names, contact details, song details or payment information, and we do not use Google Analytics advertising features.
A unique Dear Arthur outreach link may also connect broad actions on that visit to the prospect or campaign the link was prepared for. This uses an internal reference, not a name or email in the link, and does not use fingerprinting. Saying no to optional cookies should not stop you making a song.
Your choices
Where local rules require a cookie choice, Dear Arthur shows one before Google Analytics can run. Elsewhere, Google Analytics may run automatically where local rules allow it. You can use your browser settings to clear or block cookies and storage. Clearing them may remove an unfinished song draft or choices saved on that device.
Updates and contact
We will update this page if we make an important change to the cookies we use or why we use them.
