01Does the recipient need an app?+
No. Their private page opens in their phone’s browser.
02Will it sing their actual name?+
Yes. If their name is unusual, add a pronunciation tip. For example: ‘Siobhan, pronounced Shiv-awn.’
03Can I make it lovingly ridiculous?+
Absolutely. Warmly ridiculous is a Dear Arthur speciality. Cruel, threatening or humiliating is not.
04Can I put an inside joke in it?+
Please do. Specific, harmless details are what turn a generic song into the one they replay at dinner.
05Will they think it is a scam?+
The private link comes from you through your usual messaging app. Add a quick note like ‘I made this for you, press play.’
06Can I send one to a whole group?+
Yes, but songs usually feel more special when they are made for one named person.
07Can kids use it?+
A parent or responsible adult should create and share children’s songs. Children should not be asked to submit personal information directly.
08Can I make a party invitation?+
Yes. A parent can create a named invitation for each child and send it to the other parent through ordinary Messages or WhatsApp.
09Can it remind someone to get out of bed?+
A scheduled daily song link is a future web-based use case. Dear Arthur cannot currently behave like a native phone alarm.
10Can I use it for an apology?+
Yes, if it is sincere and respectful. A song should not pressure someone to forgive, respond or resume contact.
11Can a business send these?+
Yes. A business could send one as a thank you, to celebrate a milestone or to show it cares. It must have a legal and respectful reason to contact the person.
12Can I pretend a celebrity sang it?+
No. Do not impersonate a real person or suggest their endorsement. Ask for a broad mood or genre instead.
13What if the AI gets weird?+
Don’t share it. Try another version or contact us. Always listen to the whole song before sending it.
14Is the private link completely secret?+
It is hard to guess, but anyone who has the link may be able to open it. Only send it to people you trust.
15Can I download it forever?+
Where downloading is offered, save your own copy. We do not promise permanent hosting of every private page.
16Can I cancel after the song is made?+
Usually not just because you changed your mind, because the song has already been made for you. If it is broken or important paid details are missing, contact us. Your local consumer rights still apply.
17Can I use swear words?+
Mild adult humour may be okay where appropriate and welcomed. Hate, threats, sexual content involving minors and targeted abuse are never okay.
18Who is Arthur?+
Arthur is the imaginary sort of person who would remember your birthday, write you a chorus and arrive with excellent timing.
19Why is it called Dear Arthur?+
Because it feels like the beginning of a note made for one person, only this note has a chorus.
20Can I send one to myself?+
